The financial and material precariousness in which the vast majority of artists find themselves.
The corruption that eats away at the small budget allocated to culture.
The media’s complicity in the general dumbing-down and erasure of art in popular culture.
Patriarchal, reactionary and traditionalist management of cultural institutions.
The absence of a concrete, effective strategy for decentralization and access to art and artistic practice.
Finally, we wish to remind all Tunisian citizens,
in need of art, emotion, madness, originality,
of connection, of dream, of reflection…
that they have the RIGHT to art and culture
and that they have a DUTY to claim it!
We firmly believe that a society
without a strong cultural project,
inclusive and equitable,
cannot evolve.
